Sunday 26 August, 2.00pm Bring, Swap and Buy Plant Sale.

Barbara Beerling's,  ph 3356 7827. Start potting up cuttings, herbs, bulbs, etc. You have the choice of either selling, buying or swapping plants. Please put a value on the pots for the transaction.  Please bring some afternoon tea to share.

. Good Day Out at Lyn and David Newlands’ garden. With its many types of camellias, this garden has been described as one of Queensland’s finest camellia gardens.  Lyn Shailer will make soup and Lyn Newlands willprovide bread rolls. Please bring some morning tea and a chair.  This winter event will give you the opportunity to learn more about camellias and meet once more some of our camellia growing friends.  RSVP: to Lyn Shailer on 4638 1782 by 20th June so she and Lyn Newlands know how much soup and rolls to provide.  Donation please.

6 September – Good Day Out with Ross McKinnon, Curator of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha.  This GDO will be held at  Hampton in the rural family retreat of his cousin June Coward, who is a member of Darling Downs Heritage Roses.  June supplied and helped at our recent Garden Fest display.  Please bring morning tea, hat, chair.  For further information nearer to the date, please phone Bonita: 4696 8449

13 and 14 October. Spring Rose Show and Heritage Display at Holy Name Hall, Toowoomba.

Second week of October. Visit to the rose garden of Diane Welke.  Diane works at Coroneos’ Nursery and is involved with the horticultural section of the Goombungee Show.   Her rose garden will be at its peak.
